I have just been wandering around this shop that has the most comfortable hammock chairs. I have always thought that hammocks looked impossible to get in and out of and very uncomfortable. When I saw the chairs I decided to try them out and see what they were like and I was really surprised at how comfy they were and how easy they were to get in and out of. I guess I have watched too many silly films where people fall out of hammocks etc. I decided, after trying teh chairs, that I really should try out the hammock as well. I didn’t want to look silly though so I thought it might be wise to ask the shop assistant how the best way was to get in it. She showed me how to position myself right in the middle and then my weight would be evenly distributed and it wouldn’t tip. She was spot on and easily got in and lay back and then got out again without making a fool of myself! My husband was very impressed and even suggested that we got one for the garden, but I was still keener on the chairs then. However, I think I may be sold on a Hatteras hammock yet!

I have always had a thing for starfish jewellery since I was a child. I think it stems from the day when I first found a rock pool at the beach and saw some lovely starfish. I wanted to take them home and have them as pets but thankfully my parents persuaded me that they would not be very happy living with me. Since then I have started to collect beautiful things in starfish designs. I have not got that many things as I only pick really special pieces, I see no point in buying something just for the sake of it. I have only got one other piece of starfish jewellery which is a lovely starfish necklace and I have been looking for ages for some other jewellery to go with it. I look around all the time but nothing comes close and I think that I will just have to match it with plain jewellery and make a big statement with it alone rather than trying to get other bits and pieces to mix in with it. I am sure it will look lovely with a plain outfit when I can really show it off, which is what it deserves.

My son plays rugby, much to my horror. I always knew that it was a mistake when I saw how many rugby players ended up at my local hospital and from then I vowed I would never let any children of mine play rugby. Unfortunately my son loves it and there is nothing I could do, bar of chaining him up, that would stop him playing. Last week he came home with a gel pack on his knee and he was limping around for a few days but he shrugged it off as nothing. He played rugby again at school and I am sure he must have aggravated the injury as he came back with a knee wrap but said that it was just a precaution by his games teacher. I decided that from then on I would always make sure that we had some wraps and some Colpac gel packs at home so that he can use them whenever he feels the need. I think I will put them in his bedroom then he doesn’t even have to tell me about his injuries as I know that he hates for me to worry and may not ask me for them.
